The principle purpose the Sunday School is to serve as the agency of Second Baptist which gathers together both Christians and non-Christians in a community for the study of the Word of God. Sunday School teaching has a threefold purpose of leading souls to Christ, developing Christian character, and training Christian workers.

The Usher’s Ministry is on the most important Ministries in the Church, when one enters the Church, the Usher is the first person that you see. The Usher’s responsibility is to pass out the bulletins, assist the Pastor with any needs concern that he may have, pass out fans to those who needs them. Lift the offering and to make sure everything is going in order through-out the service.      

The Second Baptist Church Male Chorus is open to any male over 12 years of age. We sing traditional as well as contemporary Gospel music. The men have a great fellowship and would love to have more men help us “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord” in song.
We meet every Tuesday at 6:30pm.

The purpose and goal of the Men’s Fellowship is to unite the men of our church towards one goal of being men of integrity and commitment through the transforming power of the Word of God. To build enriching relationships that promote growth and accountability.

The evangelism committee responsibility is to equip and educate the members of the church to  effectively share the gospel with friends, family and anyone we encounter during our journey.
Matt. 28:19-20 Go ye therefore and teach all nations baptizing in the name of the Father, the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you, and lo I am with you always even unto the end of the world. Amen

The Pastor’s Aide Ministry main objective is to assist the pastor in any needs that he may have (ie. Cleaning pulpit , taking his robe to cleaners. To prepare for his pastoral anniversary and birthday celebration.    

The Activities Committee is made up a cross section of Second Baptist Church Membership. They are interested in planning inspiring fun-filled activities for the church body.
